One of Twin Cities Safety’s Instructors recently had a unique situation arise during one of her CPR classes where someone in the building went in to cardiac arrest and both the instructor and her students had to jump in and do real CPR. There response time was roughly 30 seconds, giving the victim valuable ventilation’s and compression’s to pump the oxygenated blood to his vital organs. First Responders arrived shortly after the class initiated CPR and rushed him to the hospital. Amazingly, all of the rescuers who were involved continued on with their CPR course. They were elated to get an update that afternoon that the man had survived and was conscious at the hospital thanks to their quick actions!
